Ja, men, hej med jer.

What is up my home slices?

{I'm sure a lot. And I'd sure love to hear about it. Maybe you should email me about it.}

This week tho. Wow.Let's start last monday. Ok, so we went out, I convinced Sister Superb-Williams to buy the same coat I bought last year, cause it's amazing!(I've never been cold, wet, or unhappy with that thing. I love it so much.) And we also went to see this awesome tower called Rundtårnet. It's like 400 years old or something like that. It's basically this ginormous tower on the side of this church, where it just winds and winds and winds, and the path is made of brick. There's also this hollow part of it, right in the center of the spiraling pathway, and apparently in the 1600's a 6 year old boy fell into it....he broke his legs but like, he lived. So no harm no foul, right? And now he's famous! nåhh I'm not so heartles, poor kid. It's way trippy cause they have this giant glass plate in it, so you can see where the kid fell from.I got to stand in it, and I just loved it so much cause playing with gravity and winning. ''gravity is the law

Last week we found out about transfers, and it was actually really great, only we found out about them LIVE and at our zone trainings. That would be fine and dandy, but we unfortunately didn't have ours until friday...so we learned some patience. Friday came around and we got to zone training a little nervous. Sister Williams and I knew that we were not going to be together for another one, because we already had 2 transfers together. We also knew she was leaving Frederiksberg. I thought maybe I was training, or that I could be a sister training leader? We weren't sure. We didn't talk about the transfers until the end of training, so we were getting really anxious just sitting there. Part of the training was on how to handle stress and what kinds of stress are actually good stress! That was nice. I needed it. Especially when I found out what was happening.

Well we got to transfers.

President O'Bryant goes up there, and just says, ''well. I really hate doing this, cause I know you're not all gonna like it, and not just that, but reading off this tranfer information is always really complicated. Don't judge me as I make this a slow process.''

''Frederiksberg sisters! You're both leaving. Frederiksberg will be closing down for sisters and you're transfering monday. Sister Williams will be going to Roskilde, and your companion is sister Mølholt.'' So sister williams got a dane as a comp, and she's way stoked. Then he paused for a second, ''and sister Floyd...you're getting a special assignment. *pauses again* Your new area is quite new for sisters. In fact, they haven't had them in over 20 years''  at this point Sister O'Bryant just pipes in and says, ''You're toturing the poor girl! Just tell her where she's going!!!!!! She's waiting!'' I just start laughing cause I'm already surprised, and I just accept that I don't know what to expect at all. President just giggle a little. ''Sister Floyd you're going to be transfering to the Allerød ward, working the area of Birkerød. Your new companion is Sister Moseley.'' THE CROWN WENT WILD! Cause like, that is just insane. This was like the best news ever, cause allerød ward hasn't had sisters in forever and they NEED them. They have so many women that need our help. I'd heard about their need for sisters before actually when I was serving in Aalborg. Someone told me that not all wards in Denmark have sisters, and they named allerød. They also said that Allerød had been asking for sisters forever, but they hadn't ever gotten them, the time wasn't right.

well guess what?

The time has come the walrus said.

So as soon as that training was over, plans started going into action to get prepared. It was really hard to leave Frederiksberg, and especially because that place had ALWAYS had sisters. The longest time they've been without was probably 2 years ago, and that was just for like 3 months cause they were short on sisters. It's crazy. The ward was really sad :( I've got a copy of the ward list, though. SOOO....I will never truly be without them! facebook when I get home, and when mom and dad come we'll go visit.

The hardest part was actually clearing out the apartment we lived in. Me and Sister Williams just died. This apartment had to get cleared out. Like, we gutted that thing. And we only had 2 1/2 days to do it. That's not very long. I really wished our training had been on tuesday. That would have been nice. Or maybe if they had just given us two a heads up, since we were the only ones in the mission closing an area. That would have been great. Oh well, I didn't sleep for 3 nights, but whatevs. That place looks great, so ya :)

Monday morning sister Williams and I got to the train station in good time, and Sonja met us there. She was SO sad. She's never dealt with missionaries leaving before, and it really tore her apart. She just hugged us and hugged us, and wouldn't let us go :'( She just kept saying, ''you're coming back for my baptism!!! You have to!'' Sadly I'll be in America at that point, my dear little Sonja.

After that the assistants drove us to our new apartment. It was so nice of them! I always feel bad though, cause my suitcases are so heavy. They carried them up two flights up stairs, too. Poor  guys. Now we're just in the process of moving in. This apartment really needs a woman's touch. I'm shocked by it's disgustingness. Sister Moseley and I constantly are wondering or speaking out loud with exclamations of, ''ELDERS!'' or, ''This is Nastay.'' Oh OH OHHHHH my gosh Also! The elders have pictures of Jesus stuck EVERYWHERE. Like these little teensy stickers!!! It's really quite amazing all the spots they thought of to stick them. We even have Jesus on the ceiling. He's in the bathroom. He's in the lights. He's on our desk. He's on the mirror. He's everywhere. Jesus is in the kitchen, by the sink. This morning he appeared in my closet. It's like freaking Where's Waldo. I guess this is our official ''Welcome to the Birkerød apartment''!!!!!

Anyways, that's all I have to say. Love you guys! Pray for me, I'm gonna need it. One super great thing that happened already. So last night, we went to our first appointment the elders had set up for us. And we get to this elderly man's house, his name is Finn. He just welcomes us in, and we read scriptures with him. Sister Moseley and I taught SO comfortably together. It was one of the happiest appointments I've ever been in, and I loved it. Sister Moseley is SUCH an amazing teacher. I remember in the MTC when we knew like 3 words in Danish and would spend most of the time hand miming everything, cause we just couldn't function. This is so much better. This is what we always dreamed we could be like! I just am so happy to be companions with her again!!!!!!

Have the best week,
<3 Søster Floyd

THis week tho...

With no time to write, this is my comp's email! Obviously she didn't have time either! LOVE YOU ALL!!!
''I am really sorry this email isn't the longest. I will make up for it next week.

So this week we had zone conference, and there was a huge focus on repentance with real intent. I thought I would share my favorite scripture from it.

Alma 42:22

Justice claims us, the law inflicts punishment. We have a chance for repentance. The grace and mercy of Jesus Christ satisfies justice. Repentance is only the key to the power of his grace and mercy. As we turn to Christ and really, truly repent, we can feel love and peace.

Scriptures that show true change:
Alma 36:16-17
Enos 1:2-4

I love y'all, and I know that the blessing of repentance is such a great one that helps us be better and more in tune. Have an awesome week! ''

ditto.

#How bout yes

Things are going great here, although I really didn't miss the stress that comes with a baptism! When Marianne was preparing for baptism, I was a MESS cause I was just so stressed. Well, it has hit again! Dejlig er Jorden! The good thing is, I've handled it before, and that means that it's better received than last time. I have learned a few things(thankfully) and so there is a lot better planning coming into play here, and very different problems we're encountering! So we're working with that!
Sister Williams and I have developed some good quality humor. It's called she says anything and I laugh hysterically cause it's so funny, and then she laughs at my ridiculousness. That's what happened yesterday night, and I had to run for the bathroom at one point because I was about to pee I laughed so hard. #This is the life
Hey! I got a new YW's medallion! So did Sister Williams! We had somehow at some point in our mission departed from our medallions, a major problemo, and the YW leader gave us new ones yesterday, I think she's just grateful that we're bringing in a new YW, and because of that she's being way nice. She even got Sister Williams to old one that she had originally had! Good woman.
    UMMMMMMMM other than that....
I've got a great quote from sister williams, by C.S. Lewis! literally from her, as she gave me a sticky note with it on it:
''For you will certainly carry out God's purpose, however you act, but it makes a difference to you whether you serve like Judas or John.''
How bout yes.
Also this week, I totally played the piano in church. Not for the hymns of course, I stink at sight reading, but I had a musical number. It kind of sounds ok. I put it on my dropbox. Mom it's the video that's completely dark. Sister Williams didn't feel comfortable holding a camera, so she stuck it in her bag, but had it on.
Bet you never heard a sweet hour of prayer quite like that one.

I love you all! Have a great week, and be the best person you can be! God knows you so well, and will help you in accomplishing the impossible!

quotes from this week:

Getting off an S-tog, I see this mutant bug laying on the ground. It's black and huge.
Me, ''Whoa! Look at that bug!''
Sister Williams, ''glad THAT'S dead''

Me,''Time to stress cook!''

Good quote from my 6 month letter:
''May the Lord bless you in furthering His work as you remain focused, effective, and diligent in your missionary efforts.''

Elder Ballard know's what's up:
''He's not asking us to die a martyr's death, He's asking us to live a disciple's life'', how bout yes.

Prayers ARE answered!!!!

Hey y'all.

This was one of the most miraculous weeks I've ever had. After being sick for so long and not seeing very much of our area, Sister Williams and I were very much ready to get out and help the people here in Copenhagen.
On Wednesday we said a very heart-felt prayer as we left the apartment, and I said another in my heart, both of us hoping that we could find someone that day that could be taught. We MISSED teaching, and not just that, but none of our investigaters as of right now were ready to be baptized, they had all been taught for a very long time, and are progressing, but slowly. We had one appointment that morning, where we taught an investigator, then thought we could stop and do some service for some people we knew. As we were walking over there, we get a phone call from a number we don't know, that turns out to be a lady from the distibution center. We had given her a card just a few days earlier, as she mentioned to us that sometimes people come to the church and want to get in contact with the missionaries, but she doesn't have our number for them.
What do ya know? That phone call from her said there was a young woman at the center, who wanted to know more, and had gone on a walk for about a half hour, if we could only be there when she got back she'd LOVE to meet us.
Let's just say that we made that trip in a record amount of time. We arrived there and talked to Vicky, who said the girl should be back anytime. When this young woman comes to the front door, very nervous looking, and lookin like she might bolt, we invite her in and start to talk to her. Very nervously, but extremely honest, Sonja(we find out is her name), starts to tell us that she has a friend in another ward and they go to school together. He's one of the nicest people she's ever met, and he told her about the church. He even gave her a Book of Mormon! When we asked her about the Book of Mormon, she says, ''He told me that I needed to get a testimony of it myself, that I should read it to know if it's true. Well I have, and it is. I've prayed and God answered my prayer.'' We asked her if she knows about Joseph Smith. She said, ''Yes, I've watched the long movie about him, and he's definitely a prophet.'' Sister Williams and I were DYING to say the least. Amazed by what was going on, the miracle taking place, we asked her to be baptized in Oktober, if that was something she wanted. She JUMPED at the word baptism, and told us, ''YES! That's what i want, definitely!'' So we set a baptismal date right then and there, about 6 weeks out. We got her information, and she promised to come to church on sunday.
Saturday night, we have a strong prompting. To change her baptismal date. We're not sure why, as she's BARELY met the church, and Oktober isn't really that far. There's no need to do it. But we feel that she could and should be baptized at the end of September. HOLY COW. THAT'S SOON. We say a prayer, and ask about the 26th. Well, confirmation is real, and we had it. Time to find out if Sonja is ok with it, and if it's really best for her.
Sunday came, and despite all the crazy traffic on the main road(due to a half marathon being run RIGHT OUTSIDE) she made it there 5 minutes before it all started. Walking her in was so glorious. We found out as soon as she steps inside, that it's her birthday, ''What a great birthday present to myself? To come to church!!!'' Um...how about you're astounding, Sonja. It was amazing. In sacrament, she learned probably 5 principles, and we would discuss what they were while they happened, so she understood. I have NEVER seen someone grasp concepts so quickly. She asks the most amazing questions. ''Why do you use water instead of wine, even though the scriptures say wine?'' We told her it's because the most important part of the ordinance is the prayer, not what is partaken. Her response was just, ''Of course! it's doesn't matter what it IS, as long as you say the prayer.'' She was reading along with the prayers the whole time they were said. I gave her one of my scripture markers so she could mark things in her Book of Mormon. She was so excited. She immediately looked at my BofM, and marks the first scripture she sees I have marked. Mosiah 28:3, my mission scripture. She was like, ''how does one mark????'' I can't handle her cuteness. Oh, and did I ever say, she's only 16? That's ok though, her parents want this for her, and we'll be seeing them this week when we visit her.

Anyways....After the most amazing church of my life, we have a short lesson with her, so we can set up appointments, and get to teaching her. She tells us a concern of hers, which is, that she can't wait until Oktober, and that in Oktober her school schedule becomes insane, with studying and exams all the time. We now knew why we had to move up her already speedy date. We didn't then waste anytime at all, and asked, ''Sonja? We feel very strongly, that we should invite you to be baptized a bit sooner. Would you be willing to change the date to September 26th?''
Oh my goodness.
The YES that shot out of her was so fast it blazed by all the marathon runners.
She was SO excited. She then invited all the young women to come and attend, because they're her new besties.
The ward loves her. She has been invited to like 4 different members to eat at their place. She's SO excited about everything she's learning. I've never seen someone ask so many questions, accept so many truths, and progress SO rapidly.
That prayer we said wednesday morning changed my life. I can't help but be giddy, thinking about the difference this girl is making in MY life. So much faith. I've never seen a truth seeker like her. I know that
God heard our prayers. I knew that before Sonja. But my testimony had indeed been strengthened. Sonja is a miracle. I'm just grateful we're here to witness it.

Well.....hope you all had a great week!
LOVE YOU!
<3 Søster Floyd

p.s.I'll attach a bunch of awesome pictures we took this week. My favorites are the ones we took right after our first appointment with Sonja, where we freaked out. I also love our pictures with Sonja in front of the temple, where she told us she'd like to go in next month. This gurl tho.

Picture 1. WE LOVE SONJA OH MY GOSH HOW DO WE EVEN REACT TO THIS SO EXCITED

Picture 2. wait.....what do we do now?
