My Delightful Declarations:
Hello world. Sister Blaire Floyd here (but not for long!). In a two shorts months, (July 16th), I will begin my year and a half long journey of serving the Lord Jesus Christ as one of His sister missionaries. Where will I be serving you ask? Well since you inquired so kindly, I will be serving in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission Area & Region. I will be speaking in the Danish language. It's gonna be fun. And hard. And...and...and... I'm so excited. So, if you don't know me, but like missionary work, this blog is a good one to follow. If you like to laugh, this blog is a good one to follow. If you breathe air, then this blog is a GOOD ONE TO FOLLOW.

Why I'm Doing It:
When people are happy they do all sorts of things to show their joy. They sing, dance, or in some cases a little bit of both. Perhaps they’ll smile and enjoy the moment or
however long the time period may be. No
matter how they do it, in some way or another it is expressed. And if that
person felt the joy strong, true, and without reservation, wouldn’t they want
to share it with those they love? That would be the logical thing to do wouldn’t
it? A person would want to bring that joy and happiness to those around them.
Well for me, Jesus Christ is my greatest joy and happiness.
He is everything. He is what I think about when I wake up in the morning and
when I go to sleep. My Savior is the sun and the moon, the stars and the sky.
His love is forever, it is infinite, and it is mine. It is everything and I
have to share it.
This is why since I was 12 years old I decided that I would
serve a mission and share this felicity with others. I decided that I would go
and seek out those in need of a father, a brother, and a comforter. Those in
need of an eternal plan which would give them the tools necessary to return to
a loving God who misses them, cares for them, and wants them to succeed.
A Little Bit About Myself:
*I’m an avid reader. Give me a book and we are now best
friends.
*I love Harry Potter. As my friends know you probably
shouldn’t get me started cause I never learned quite where the brakes are on
THAT particular speeding train.
*My favorite color is yellow. The color of sunshine!
*Singing is something I cannot live without. Music in specific actually, I love it all. Any genre, all different instruments, and I play piano…. Sort of haha.

*Friends and family mean THE WORLD to me and that’s why the
plan of salvation is everything.
*I have 4 older siblings! Youngest of 5 over here, with 3
brothers and 1 sister.
*You probably shouldn’t bring up Nacho Libre around me
either. Another speeding train.
*ANNNNNNNND I’d like to apologize ahead of time for all the
movie references that are ingrained into my cranium by my loving father. We’re
movie people, and I will miss the cinema very much.
*I was born into the church. My mother is a convert, and my
dad actually taught her when he was serving a mission in Ft. Lauderdale Florida
in 1980(ish? I don’t know! I wasn’t there!)
*The funny thing about that age change is, it didn’t matter
to me. I was going no matter what. Nothing was going to stop me. At 21 the plan
was to be ready to leave everything behind and serve the Lord. It was all just
a matter of keeping focused with my eyes on the prize. To wear the name tag was
what I wanted, and a missionary is WHAT I WOULD BECOME. The age change just made
that goal a little closer hahaha.
Lastly, I’d just like to say that I have a very strong
testimony of the Gospel. I know that my Redeemer lives, and loves me! The Book
of Mormon is true, and I have faith in the words written in it. I love this
church. I love the people. And I love my Heavenly Father, and I can’t wait to
go to the place which He has called me to serve. I can’t wait to begin this
Mission Possible!
Also? The answer is yes. I most definitely will save you a piece of that gospel for later.
(If
you do not know that reference, ask a Nacho Libre fan PLEASE.)
